Food is incredible. Atmosphere was great. Service was terrible. We were over an hour and a half from sitting down at our table to paying. Waitress never actually came to check on us we had to get their attention every time. Nobody knew how to work the register. They were “short staffed”, but this appears to be systemic.
Great food, great view. Service a bit slow, but had new waitress
The seafood here is excellent. It's a small restaurant under a bar. The waitresses are exceptional. Possibly the best part is that they are open when most of the other establishments on the island are closed. Therefore the excellent food and waitresses make it worthwhile if you are unable to visit other places because of their "bankers hours".
Actually we have not been there yet but planning on going soon. Can't wait after what we have been told. I hope that the 10 hour drive is going to be worth it. 🐟&🍤 here we come. 👍😁
Fried Jalapeño Cheddar bites were delicious l, staff was very friendly, I dined on the back patio and watched the sunset. Nice family owned place, there’s a bar upstairs. Wait time was extended and they weren’t busy but it was definitely worth the wait!
Food was good. Not enough wait staff. Be careful when paying with cash because they will tip themselves.
Vacationing and we have been here two days in a row now for lunch. The food was hot and fresh both times, totally worth a short wait due to being busy, and the service is absolutely great. The prices are good also. Simple but delicious menu. The views of the boats while we were eating completed it. I don't have a single complaint.
Nothing good about this place except location. The food is low quality and overpriced
My wife and I decided to eat here. They wasn't offering any indoor seating but was taking to-go orders and could eat on the patio. We was a little confused because when we had called earlier we were notified that there was going to be a gratuity left or to go order.... we decided to try it anyway. It's safe to say that we absolutely enjoyed the food it was fantastic! My blackened flounder was the best I had gotten in a while! We didn't get many fries which wasn't a big deal because the sunset and our server Ashley went out of her way and was very entertaining! She kept us laughing! Our bill was a little pricey but we was assured we'd be taken care of and we were. Thank you JT's we will be back! Hopefully next time there will be L shirts!
Wouldnt let us order food. Got there 8:20. Closed at 9:00. Took peoples order in front of us. Then lady said were not taking anymore orders. Rude
Staff was nice. Oysters were really big, don't know why they serve in tins and not the shell. Not terrible but not the freshest either. Restaurant is down stairs and drinks are up stairs so you deal with two different bills. Minimum boat parking maybe get 4 boats in if your lucky.
Me, my husband and two of our friends went to dinner tonight with the plan of enjoying a casual meal by the water. We sat ourselves at the only table left on the deck which was not clean and wasn’t offered to be clean once our server finally got to us to take our drink order. (This place was not busy at all. Limited seating outside)Took 30+ minutes for her to bring our drinks. When she came back to get our food order she rudely said “go ahead.” We could tell she was frustrated with us for no reason at all. We felt like an extreme inconvenience to her. We managed to place our order. An hour later and everyone’s glasses empty we decided to leave.
Great food and service and a beautiful view!
Had a little wait while there for food however our awesome waitress made up for it will return
The FOOD was by far the best we had on the entire island!!!
Blackened flounder and blackened shrimp with crab stuffed mushrooms. The best you will ever eat anywhere.
Cute little place and they had oysters on th 1/2 shell. The super nice waitress made up for the face that the place was dirty all tables needed to be bussed. The map on the wall was super cute we enjoyed it. Was expensive for the quality. But again it’s water side and cute and the staff made up for everything else.
Wish I could have actually eaten here. Started calling to place a take out order at 8. Phone stayed busy so we drove over st 825. Stood in line outside behind 6 people, and when the lady got to me she said they weren't taking any more orders. Sign says they close at 9. I hate that I wasted my time driving over.
There was no service. Planned on spending around 100 dollars for our meal. Couldn't even get waters in 15 mins. The hardest worker there was what looked like a 12 year old busboy. Left after we couldn't receive service.
We had a cheeseburger and chicken po-boy. French fries were not hot. Rest of food was okay. Lovely sitting outside.Nice location. Service was slow.
We were visiting from Tennessee. Wanted seafood & found this place. I called & asked if their dining room was open & if there was a wait. They said no wait so.we went. We sat down out on the dock & our waitress said it would take around 45 minutes to get our food. there were a lot of tables open so they weren't busy. We went ahead and ordered. THEY DON'T HAVE FISH & CHIPS! Seriously? I ordered a hamburger & my wife ordered a crab & shrimp bisk soup. We waited the 45 minutes & the food came. Her bisk looked more like chowder and she said it tasted like flour and was cold. My burger was huge but very salty. It tasted like they cooked it on the same flattop as the fish. The fries were ok. Overall too expensive for what you get. Very disappointed.
Want good country hospitality and some good food? Then come here! We had the Crab Cake sandwich, Shrimp poboy, and jumbo and everything was pretty good. Wish we had time to have stayed for dessert. The gumbo wasn't too spicy and everything else was pretty good too. So go ahead and give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.
Had a ridiculous wait time I understood at first bc it was busy when we first came in but everyone was finishing up and left. In total it was a 53 minute wait. I got the Mahi Mahi which was good but my French fries had obviously been done for a while. My gf got the Seafood platter. Her fries had been done for a while and her Oysters were undercooked. Her crab cake was also cold. I've heard good things from this place but I was told wrong.
The food was delicious. I recommend the BLT.
Nice seafood restaurant right next the water. It has inside and outside tables. We really enjoy the good here. We ordered fish taco, fish puoboy and seafood gumbo. All are really good..
Great sunsets! They have a restaurant with a bar above it. You can’t order alcohol drinks at the restaurant but they will take your food order as take out and bring it to you upstairs when it’s ready. We did that and the food was very hot, and delicious. We got the mushroom appetizer and seafood platter. Highly recommended!!! Not the fastest service but well worth the wait. Remember you are on an island, so chill and enjoy!
1 hour and 15 minutes after ordering we got our food. Portions sizes were tiny!! Burgers not dressed as ordered even though they had plenty of time to get it right. Burger buns were burnt so not sure what happened there. Took an extra 20 minutes to get the fish tacos we ordered. They were out of ketchup?? Had to go inside to the counter to ask for refills! The “chicken tenders dinner” was 2 and a half chicken tenders with fries 😂 Still we stayed, still we ate, still we were willing to pay. But we couldn’t find anyone to actually take our money. Finally the “manager” came over and tried to do it but couldn’t figure out our ticket. Finally just handed her some cash and left. I thought I was being pranked or on the first night of a Kitchen Nightmares episode! Never had an experience like this
Sign and internet said open ( only the b as r apparently, no food being served )
One of our favorite places in Dauphin island! We make a point of eating there several times during our visits. The service is good if you remember that they're family run and always busy. Also, you're on island time. Slow down, have patience, and enjoy their flounder. It's the best.
Tl;dr: Good food, friendly staff and a decent selection of food. Very nice and homey restaurant. They give you the option to sit outside or inside, sitting wherever you want. They have a food score rating of 93 and a sign proclaiming their food is cooked fresh to order! Its right there on the water and acts as a mariner too! They also sell merchandise like sunglasses, shirts, hats, hot sauce and jewelry. The restroom was.... quaint but clean. The servers are very polite and welcoming. Our server Brandy rocks! They offer coke products to drink also. My party of 4 ordered the crabcake sandwich with fries, cheese sticks, white fish po' boy, 1/2 lbs Royal Red Shrimp with fries/coleslaw and crab claws. We got the crab claws and cheese sticks first because they are appetizers. Ample amount of crab claws and they were very good. The cheese sticks were great, there was only four so we had one each. The food was fantastic and very tasty. :) Will definetly come back here again!!
The food and the service was great. Always that way!
Quaint little place with great shrimp, oysters & crab stuffed mushrooms. They don't observe social distancing or wear masks
Best meal all week! A total beach gem that probably gets overlooked. Highly suggest fried green tomatoes, fish tacos, macaroni bites, and crab cakes. Great bridge and bay views! Fabulous service by very down-to-earth people!
Food was really good. Burger was amazing! A little pricey for the small portion of food you get tho.
Food was decent. Server was clueless. When asked for a recommendation we were told "I like king mackerel, but we don't have serve that. Shrimp is ok, I guess. After being told that A.) The potatoes would be mashed and the corn creamed. B.) That they were out of corn. And C.) Ordering fries and slaw. We were brought the traditional new potatoes and corn on the cob. It was overall confusing experience.
Great place. Good food with awesome views
Really good food and service was fairly quick considering the wait. Not much room though.
Do not go here if you are hungry and in need of food in a reasonable amount of time. The service is incredibly slow. It took 40 minutes before we were told that the appetizer we ordered wasn’t available. We waited at least an hour and 15 min before we got our food. And it wasn’t just us. Every table around us had the same long wait. They were also out of several menu items we tried to order. The food was mediocre at best. I have had better, fresher seafood in the landlocked state I live in. I was expecting more from a restaurant who has access to freshly caught seafood. Restaurant was not very clean. Pretty views is the only positive I can say about this place. Would not recommend.
Food tasted like it was straight from a freezer. Crab cakes were flat pancakes with no flavor. Hush puppies were rubbery. All 4 orders were incorrect. Was told it would take 20 minutes, but it took 45. The employees weren’t wearing masks (or shoes even).
Terrible experience. Only one poor waitress seemed to be doing any of the work. A waiter spilled one of our drinks and left it on the floor for over 20 minutes and still didn’t clean it all up. Food was old and stale. Portion sizes were very small for the price. Would not recommend to anyone. Don’t waste your money trust me.
The staff was friendly and food was good. 50.00 worth good for two of us no.
It was fantastic! The wait staff and food were awesome!
Good food, I had the Mahi Mahi kids had burgers wife had asking po boy. Light and crispy breading on the fried food good seasoning on the french fries and decent cake to boot.
Great atmosphere on the water. Slow service to where we almost cancelled our order and left but maybe they were short on staff with the pandemic. Food was really good! Best fried shrimp I've had in a long time.
Very busy at night on the deck outside , but the kids had a great time playing with the throw hooks and the server did a great job keeping everyone happy!
Food is fantastic! Location is great right off the water. They were understaffed but still did a great job!
Be aware that if you want a drink with dinner you must go to the bar upstairs. There you will be smoked out as it’s a smokers paradise. The food was good, but the smoke sent us out early.
I waited 30 minutes to get my food. I asked for it to be blackened and it was over seasoned! The hush puppies was hard and overcooked! The fries and crab cake was cold. Nice view but bad service.
Good was great and our server was very attentive. Beautiful view when sitting outside.
Terrible experience, wasted our evening waiting on food that never came. Left after 2 hours without anything to eat. Saw our server maybe 3 times. Offered us a free dessert instead of taking care of the app (that took 30 minutes). Always frustrating to fork up money for a business to literally only waste your time.Maybe 11 tables seated total? Not busy. Staff not wearing masks, no social distancing between tables. Inside smells like cigarettes. This place gets by on location alone. So disappointing. Tourist trap.
